Executive Gifts Boost Employee Morale

Many corporations and small businesses have discovered that giving executive gifts to employees is a good business practice.  Executive gift giving occasions include:

  • Employee honors or acknowledgments (i.e., anniversary, exceptional sales, best customer service, etc.);
  • Special personal occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries
  • Holidays
  • Special thank you's for completion of major projects or landing new clients

Companies that honor their employees with executive gifts tend to keep their employees longer because good relationships are established.  Employees tend to be more dedicated if they feel that they are appreciated -- and this contributes to higher office morale.

Employee Executive Gift Ideas

In some cases, expensive executive gifts such as a new car or paid holiday may be given as an incentive, such as exceeding a million dollars worth of sales.  In more normal circumstances, executive gifts can include coffee sets, crystal glassware, decorative items, briefcases, wine and cheese sets, gift baskets or other items that are not "every day" items used in the course of business.  The executive gift should be something memorable and special.  A calendar or a calculator is not necessarily special, but a desk clock or artful pen holder would be special.

They key to finding executive gifts that will be appreciated is to find something that is not run-of-the-mill and ordinary.  The gift does not necessarily need to be expensive; it just needs to be enjoyable or memorable.
